Residential Crime Prevention
Training Program
The Maryland Community Crime Prevention Institute (MCCPI) is planning to hold a
four-day Residential Crime Prevention Training Program for interested law
enforcement officers and personnel Statewide. The program will take place as
follows:
March 5-8, 2012 – Public Safety Education and
Training Center
6852 4th Street, Sykesville, MD 21784
(NOTE: 2 more Residential Programs are being planned for 2012, TBA)
The training will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily and is free of charge to
Maryland law enforcement agencies/client agencies and $135 for non-client
agencies. However, students are responsible for their meals and lodging, if
necessary. The purpose of the Residential program is to provide instruction in
BASIC RESIDENTIAL crime prevention methodologies and techniques. It is designed
for those officers and personnel who are assigned full or part time to crime
prevention and/or community policing.
The course has been approved for 26 in-service credit hours by the Police
Training Commission (P-16983). Registrants must attend the ENTIRE training
program and successfully pass the test to receive both in-service credit and a
certificate from the Institute.
On behalf of MCCPI, I am pleased to extend an invitation to you to send one or
more persons to attend this training session. However, please note that since
seating is limited, in order to accommodate as many departments as possible,
MCCPI reserves the right to limit the number of registrants attending from any
given department.
